Kei Kamara scores his first goal for Middlesbrough
Sierra Leonean player of the year 2012 Kei Ansu Kamara has scored his first goal for his new club Middlesbrough three days after he made his debut in the English Championship.
The striker gave Middlesbrough the lead over Nottingham Forest in the 17th minute when he finished off a cross with his right foot on Tuesday night. But they were forced to a 2-2 draw at the end.
The 29-year old Kamara was booked in the 38th minute and was taken off the pitch ten minutes to full time, a minute after Nottingham Forest equalised.
Kamara signed a two-year deal with Boro on transfer deadline day from Major league Soccer club Sporting Kansas City.
He had an 11-game loan spell with Norwich City last season in the Premier League - during which time he became the first Sierra Leonean to score in the top flight.
