[/et_pb_cta][et_pb_cta title=”Premier League Team Synopsis” button_text=”Click Here” _builder_version=”3.24″]Starting with the titleholders, here is a snapshot of the 14 Premier League clubs in contention for the title.

*East End Lions* – The Killers were the champions of the 2019 league season with a record 24 matches unbeaten. The new season is here, and can they defend their golden title with coach Keister at the helm?

*FC Kallon* – The Cavaliers were last season’s runners up. With the technical knowhow of Amidu Karim, Charlie Wright and Musa Kallon, the lads are all set to give their fans the crown since they last won it in 2005. Can they outweigh the Killers more especially with the new faces in the club?

*Kamboi Eagles*- Last season, the Eagles established themselves as the surprise package with their talisman Ron Gandy-Williams shooting with his might and their midfield maestro Ibrahim Turay aka IB Computer holding the fort well. The Eagles are the only provincial team to record the highest away wins in the last league. Can they take the crown to the East?

*Mighty Blackpool*- The Tiss-Tas Boys struggled greatly last season but were able to sit in fourth position in the end. Will they change the narrative this time around? It’s a matter of wait and see.

*Ports Authority* – The Waterfront Boys were on the fence in the last campaign – moving forward and backward like a hammock. They introduced the youngest player in Alusine Talibeh Kamara at age 16 who is now with the Under-20 national team Shooting Stars at the WAFU Tournament in Guinea. Can coach John ‘Ajina’ Sesay – the game changer – change the game this season?

*Central Parade* – The lads from the central part of Freetown were outstanding at the start of the 2018/2019 season. But with the transfer of their key players like Alpha Beddor, Osman Sesay, Alfred ‘Sakilla’ Davies, Aphajor, Young Almamy, etc, can they triumph over the likes of East End Lions, FC Kallon and Bo Rangers?

*Old Edwardians* – The youthful May Park Boys used wit to fight on and despite finishing eighth, did surprise big guns last season as they appeared to be a hard nut to crack against the likes of Kallon and others.

*Diamond Stars* -The club represents the diamond-rich Kono District. Would the stars from the east spend like the Rangers from the south? Let’s see what the side’s coach, former international, Francis ‘Zappa’ Koroma has in store.

*Bo Rangers*- Rangers are currently the biggest spenders in the league with Manager Babadi Kamara showing he has deep pockets going to the market. Though they started disappointingly they were able to recover in the second half of the season. With over five new signings including Prince Barry, Saidu Bah and Osman Sesay aka Fine Player, football pundits have tipped Rangers as one of the hot favourites to win the championship. Would they make the dream come true?

*Freetown City Football Club* – The real Citizens of the Colony did not show their ownership well last season. Can they control their territory in the next campaign with a new management in charge?

*East End Tigers* – The Tigers were one of the teams that started with a strong force and landed badly like a broken wall during the second half of the previous season. They only managed to register a single win against Freetown City Football Club in the second phase of the league season. With the new signings like striker Philip Neville aka 88megabytes, the gold and blacks are in high spirit.

*Anti Drugs* – They are known to be the Anti-Drugs advocates but, interestingly, they were unable to find a remedy for their poor show last season. Could they be back from the drawing board with new therapy?

*RSLAF*- The Military guys can machinate very well with their Arsenal but they couldn’t unleash their goal scoring power last season. What will be their military tactics for the upcoming season? It’s a matter of wait and see from the Army lads.

*FC Johansen*- The Chasers of Dreams were the FA Cup holders in 2016. With the inclusion of their new breeds like Umaru Samura, winning is assured.[/et_pb_cta][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”3.22.3″ background_color=”#1eb53a” custom_padding_tablet=”50px|0|50px|0″ transparent_background=”off” padding_mobile=”off” make_fullwidth=”off” use_custom_width=”off” width_unit=”on” global_module=”126″][et_pb_row _builder_version=”3.22.3″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”3_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][et_pb_code _builder_version=”3.24″][/et_pb_code][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_4″ _builder_version=”3.0.47″][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|desktop” _builder_version=”3.22″ background_color=”#444444″ custom_padding_tablet=”50px|0|50px|0″ transparent_background=”off” padding_mobile=”off” make_fullwidth=”off” use_custom_width=”off” width_unit=”on” global_module=”125″][/et_pb_section]
